| Yes. On purpose!!! I spent every winter and summer as a child in Watersmeet. My Gramma & Grampa Anible (Floyd & Dorothy) used to own the gas station on HWY 2 & old 45. It was the only place in town to have a candy counter w/penny candy in big glass jars. They also owned a cabin on County Line Lake, great memories. My Great grampa Anible (Claude & Ethel-Great gramma also lived in Watersmeet. Beginning 1955 until All of their deaths. And are all buried there. I now live in Northern MN, wanted to be UP NORTH my entire life. I've been back 2 years in a row now and will make it a yearly tradition, we're only 4 hrs away. Having ben raised military, never having a home town. Watersmeet IS my Hometown. Dale Jenkins was one of my Grampa's best friends and George Peterson II bought the station from my Grampa. How can I send you some old pics of this? Love it!!! Cindy Jo Anible-VanHoecke |
