This film pointedly captures the highs and lows of bi-polar behavior not only in the moment but as they occur over several years. The allegorical shot of Sam standing half-naked in Central Parl Lake looking at the Manhattan Skyline is a classic picture exhibiting the mecurical nature of this mental illness.
