Ladette to Lady Posted on Feb 24 2007 at 4:35pm by Just discovered this show and have to say, it's really good. I can't believe there are so many foul girls these
days. It's definitely an eye opener! I'm rooting for the dark haired mechanical engineer...can't recall her name, to win. Vicki and Frances have got to go!

So far, IMO, the first season was better - I liked the old principal much more. But Rosemary is a hoot! I love it when she gets all over the girls and when she cracks herself up. Hee!
I like the dark haired girl, too. Clara is her name, I think... I liek her the best. Vikki is horrible; her parents need to boot her arse out of the house!

RE: Ladette to Lady Posted on Mar 3 2007 at 4:41pm by The girl with the boob job who flashed them all the time is Frances (though I think that Angela, the one who did topless photo shoots, also mentioned having hers done) and Fran just squeeked through this week. So she made the top 3. After the cat fight with Louise I thought for sure she was next on the chopping block. -

However, Clara was the bell of the debutant ball. It reminded me of My Fair Lady when she came down the stair case. It was truly an "Eliza Doolittle" moment. -

But Victoria had really changed the most and seemed very sincere, and realistic about her problems. I would really like to see her stop drinking, that will cause a real slim down, and see her more together physically, maybe even a workout followup for her.
there could be a series followup with her, getting the image right, but don't want to derail her nursing career. A much finer goal.
Great girl. A good sport. Would like to know what becomes of her.

Clearly Louise has a serious achohol problem that confounds her somwhat muddled upbringing in her cgchildhood and teens. It would be fair to say form such cursory observation that Louise is addicted... at 19 years old.
Louise, does not like to delay gratification. Louise has not been taught throughout her life just whet this means and what the rewards are for such behaviour.
I felt terribly sorry for Louuise, because she has everything going for her on the surface and is plagued by self-doubt, insecurities, and feelings of repeated failure. This girl needs a "finishing school" that addresses Louise's specific needs : alcohol abuse, complete lack of boundries when she is drunk., apporiate behaviour when drunk were the situations that causes her, so early, to turn to alcohol as a "medication" for all her ills. This young woman must NOT be left to languish and waste. An idea: an offshoot series about how Louise gets it back together...!
We're praying, and wishing and hoping for good sustained good things for Louise.
It's time, that with a little time and guidance Louise will overcome her betesnoir
And YOU TOO CAN SUCCEED... stop demeaning yourself: it's not a gob or a trap: it's you mouth!
I hope the company has a LtoL psychological team to deal with the young women who need help.
Louise is definitely one of them... she looks quite lost at times. I logged onto this site because of this concern, hoping there was a way I could write and ask that Louise get the help that she needs. There was such a huge difference in her when she was sober that it is clear to me that she cant drink in any healthy way. Sundance, please get Louise the help that she needs.

I am very troubled that the teachers of this so-called "finishing school", if not the series's producers, did not intervene publicly in what is CLEARLY an acute health condition suffered by one of the participants.
There is no doubt that Louise's behavior is disastrous when she uses alcohol---she acknowledges this herself at one point, stating sadly that "one drink and it's all over" as far as her conduct is concerned. She is only too aware that something is wrong with her----she genuinely wants help of some sort to prevent her life being ruined. A finishing school/reality show is not the help she needs, but she doesn't apparently know what else to do. She, as well a contributor above, believes she needs to learn 'better manners', not that she has a neurologically-based intolerance for alcohol. This thinking, or confusion or ignorance, is expected in an individual who has the disorder that Louise has; it's indefensible on the part of the school's instructors and the series's producers.

RE: Ladette to Lady Posted on Mar 3 2007 at 5:41pm by I was hooked on this show from the first episode! I was sorry to see Louise go and hope she's getting help for alcohol abuse. She totally transformed when she was drunk. Most of the girls seem to have issues with alcohol. As a former substance abuser, it's very obvious and alarming to me.
I have to disagree about Victoria, I'm rooting for her. She may not have the most elegant speech and she's certainly not the most sophisticated ladette (which isn't saying much at all, is it?), but she's genuine and has a good heart and a good personality. I found it touching that she was so tickled about dancing with that young man at the house party!

Sure Clara is lovely (mech eng) and that's fine, but Victoria is serious, really serious and I think she is probably very bright. Funny girl, endearing. I hope we see more of her
