I agree. As soon as the program was over, I googled it and found this site just because I wanted to order the DVD. I was disappointed that I could not yet, but cannot wait until I can.
I feel as though the words I want to say to describe how I felt about the interaction between Dr. Angelou and Mr. Chappelle would not be sufficient or that I would only be expressing the same things as others. Dr. Angelou is a remarkable woman and as she stated, Mr. Chappelle is a remarkable man.
I especially appreciated that she explained what she meant by "Pickin em up and layin em down." As a young person in my mid-20's, it is sometimes difficult to imagine ever "becoming somebody." It is so easy to compare myself with others and with "icons" esteemed by the crowd. Yet, her words inspired and encouraged me to not put people on pedestals and that we must only strive to become ourselves and compete with no one else....and to take courage.

most def. the whole reason I came on the site was to buy the DVD I had assumed was available. That was simply remarkable television.

A refreshing, and important, message for a world that needs it! Every teenager in this country should see this show, and discover the possibilities of following their own passions. Enough focus on power, money, and doing what ever it takes to "get ahead"...or to be "successful"! Let's change those definitions, open minds, and challenge people to be an Iconoclast in their own worlds. This show is brilliant. If this series were available on DVD, everyone I know would be getting a copy this holiday!!

Is there currently a plan for a DVD release of the series. I, for one, would buy it immediately.
