My husband and I are completely hooked on Shamelss and look forward to our regular Sunday night viewing. We turned on the TV tonight and realized that Shameless is no longer showing on Sundays at 9 PM EST. Did it move, or is it gone forever?

In what universe is it fair to faithful viewers of a series to change it from it's timeslot and re-start the series without any forewarning? My husband and I, as well as many other viewers, supported Shameless and the Sundance channel for months and months, and last night we turned on the TV at 9, only to discover they'd just removed it. Without so much as a mention at the end of last week's episode or at any point prior. That's really unfair and completley disrespectful to the viewers and supporters of the network. Lets us know that we do not matter a bit to them, and REALLY makes us think twice about becoming involved in anything else they have to offer, as it too could disappear at a moment's notice.

They've done the wrong thing here.

I get Sundance Channelon Dish and according to their guide we also jumped from epsidode # 20 to 26. So what happened there. At least now I know where to look for my Shameless fix. But Sundance execs that was very wrong to move the series with no explanations whatsoever...

I agree with all of you - Sundance was totally impervious to fans of Shameless. I did find out though, that Shamless, which has its last episode for season three the "wedding" episode will definitely be shown at 4:00 a.m. Wednesday. You can find the rest of the schedule by going to the Sundance Site - Series - Schedule.

It was an inexcusable thing that Sundance did. I also don't like that Sundance now puts commercials through all of its series; commercials for The Sundance Channel. It's pretty sad.

I believe Shamless Season Four is now available on DVD.

Good luck to all Shameless fans.

            SHAME ON YOU SUNDANCE!!!

I agree!! I just finished watching the "wedding" episode-that was brilliant as usual- that I had to DVR because of Sandance Channels idiotic move of putting the damn thing on so late that working people can't watch it. They should know from all of the postings here what a huge and loyal following Shameless has here in the states. I SO looked forward to it every Sunday evening ar 9 and am really disappointed in the programming discision to put VERY tired reruns of Big Girls Blouse and the so-so new show by Jennifer Saunders on in its place. Also, I am VERY tired of the Sundance commercials that interupt the shows now!!! Put them on at the end of and between shows- not during!

Ohhhhhhhhhhh I whole heartedly agree! PLEASE SUNDANCE don't get rid of Shameless!!! I love this show so much. Like the others I look forward to my sunday nights all week. Please please please bring it back. Show series 1-3 until we can watch 4. Please? I'm not a big T.V. person but for some reason I have just fell in love with this show and am genuinly saddend to see it's not on. Btw I bought (overseas) series 3. Anyone intrested in trading for a diffrent series? I hope I'm not breaking a rule or anything. Not trying to sell or solicite...a straight up swap is all!

I agree with all of you Shameless fans! Please, Sundance Channel, carry Sessions 4 & 5 at a decent viewing time (repeats are fine at 12am, but not new episodes!) For fans, try this website: http://www.channel4.com/entertainment/tv/microsites/S/shameless/

They play the same shows over and over, but they give Shamesless one showing and one repeat, both after midnight I love this show and I'm finally starting to undrrstand the Brit Speak. Have a heart Sindance and bring it back at a reasonable hour for working people.
      thanks

        Hello Sundance, are you listening/reading?????
I agree with a lot of the preceding posts and can hardly believe that the time slot switch would be done so suddenly, without adequate/any announcement, and apparently without regard at all to the many loyal fans of the show.
So when do you explain and let us know what to expect?
        Thanks (I think)

I agree Shamelss did not receive the publicity it deserved for Season 3. I missed the first episode, the first time around, because of that. Now, I middes the final episode of season 3 because my DVR failed to pick it up.

Sundance has been re-airing Season 3, and I've been watching again, but on their schedule it says Episode 7, Series 3 (next to last episode of Season 3) is to air Oct. 31. Then the last episode of Series 3 is not scheduled to air, but Season 3, Episode 1 is starting again November 12.

Also, there is a Shameless Christmas Special listed in the Sundance library -- has anyone ever seen this aired?

The Christmas Special is part of season 2. Sundance did air it when season 2 was running. The shows that replaced Shameless are rubbish as far as I'm concerned.....

The Sundance Channel used to be owned by NBC/Universal, and the programming was excellent. Sundays at 9pm at my house were reserved for Shameless and it truly was my favorite night of the week. I took for granted that it would always be on and that they would eventually show all five seasons, much like Eastenders has been on public television here in the US for almost 30 years.

Then NBC/Universal sold Sundance to Cablevision.

Cablevision has no clue what to do with Sundance, and even less of a clue what to do with Shameless. They have possibly the funniest British comedy on television yet someone at Cablevision with power and Puritanical values obviously considers it pure filth that needs to be buried late at night when no one is watching. What a shame.

I have watched all of Shameless Season One and Two and seven episodes of Season Three, though I read that there are actually eight episodes. I look forward to Season Four but I won't hold my breath, unless Cablevision sells Sundance to HBO.

I suggest we keep this thread going, maybe someone is listening. Maybe...

I absolutely agree. Since I don't read Broadcasting or Cablevision or even Variety regularly anymore I was unaware of the ownership change. Thanks for the info! Sundance's quality has gone down substantially. It's on its way to becoming yet another Bravo. What a shame!
