Why reward China with the Olympics? Posted on Aug 1 2008 at 12:37pm by Why reward China with the benefits of having the Olympics in Beijing? The pollution problems there are out of control. Unfortunately I think China's air quality is just too bad for any short-term steps to correct the problem by the time the Olympics come around. Don't I always here some statistic about how china is building on average one coal fired power plant every week? I doubt they're "going green" at all.
