Please improve the programming of the Green Channel. My house is bored and tired of lifestyle shows, reality shows and saucer deep discussions between celebrities. Greensburg is lame at best, it is contrived and revelatory of so very little in regards to actual green sustainable living, its just another lame reality-ish show. Practical programming is what we need, intelligent programming is what we need. Show us how to do things, review products in a meaningful way.

We aren't rich and most of your viewers aren't either, We want to see "This old Green House" or a show about building a rainwater toilet, Passive solar water heating, Sustainable yard gardening, home wind energy projects, there is lots of wind here in Milwaukee. There was a magazine in the 80's called "American survival" it had nothing to do with modern nationalist/racist survival movements, its content was exactly what I have suggested above, ways to build and do so as to remove ones footprint to a large degree. For example; How do I build a "cob" work shed, or ways to recycle textile items for use as insulation. How -to's!!!!! I only mention the mag because t was so very much what this network needs to be.

Get it together bean counters, producers and programming directors. Clearly there is a lack of creativity and imagination in your ranks. Listen, to this....this is the sound of me changing channels.

If you need help in imagining quality programming and producing choices, there are many including my-self that can assist you. I commend the idea of a green advocacy network, now you need to make it what you actually claim it to be. Present the Green side of things, the other side...self-interested corporatists, have a plethora of voices to advocate their views.

You expressed my sentiments so well. I'm also pretty disgusted with the "talk the talk" but not living it. And don't even bother to go to the actual Sundance web-page. It is excruciatingly s.l.o.wwwwwwww and they don't bother to answer any questions either. Nor answer or respond to critique. Another big Corp phony??? what do you think?

Agreed! Stop continuing the drivel that is the current standard. Sundance should be better and be willing to invest in the unique programming one would expect from such a creative institution. Give us more: deeper, richer, anything that is not currently done in the horrific way that has become the standard.

Some D.I.Y.'s would be nice at least on the web site or perhaps a link to a site to get more info. A green 101 show would be great.

Aha...you must have just watched an episode of "Battleground Earth"! Here is the dilemma. Network executives are riding the coattails of all of the successful reality show programming and trying to attach a "green" spin to it. Blame it on Survivor, American Idol, etc, ad nauseum! Network programming is very much a reactive industry where Directors of Programing get fixated on what everyone else is doing and trying to assimilate it. If it worked for them, its got to work for me! Why do you think that the Internet is booming and television is fading? If you are interested in how-to programming in a short video format, please check out www.greendeantv.com. We would love to hear any thoughts that you might have and more importantly, any ideas on how to fund this initiative to the network level.

I hate to say it because at least someone has tried to advance the green movement but what is currently being aired is absolutely painful and frustrating. My wife and I are both public school teachers with an average income with a huge drive to do everything we can to decrease our carbon footprint and what do we see? "Greenovations" that create 4,000 square foot homes with 3 separate "playrooms" for a family of 4. Ok, we get it. If you have an extra 30-50K floating around you too can create a photovoltaic grid on your roof to provide a third of your energy needs. Show us what normal people can do right now, without having to refinance their entire homes. Feature things that people can do this weekend to make improvements. How to build a rain barrel for under $50, how to build an effective compost pile, resources for buying water saving shower heads, faucets, toilets etc. How about some documentaries that follow a plastic bag from it's production to it's disposal and the impact it has on the environment so people will think twice about it at the grocery store this week. Education people on the issue of buying case after case of bottled water and the impact that has. If people were taught the impact of the daily decisions we could create change. Going green has to begin at the grass roots one plastic bottle at a time. Educate the masses at every socio-economic level rather than feature the filthy rich on virtually unobtainable expensive land as they feed their ego by building a million dollar Mc"green" mansion/house. The people that can make significant changes have to do so from within their own existing home. I know more would do so if just given some moderate direction/education where they can build on small successes.

While I applaud you for at least taking the step to raise awareness I shake my head in disbelief that you chose to do so by emulating the most nauseating current programming direction that has played out on HGTV and DIY, Trading Spaces etc. etc.
