Greening my old gas guzzler Posted on Jun 1 2008 at 11:50am by I have a 1995 Chevy Blazer that served me well for many years. It recently developed some pretty serious fuel supply issues making it pretty unreliable, which is not a good thing tied with my recent move to LA. I wasn't comfortable driving it for the last few years anyway, and with this development decided it was time to get a Prius. While I'm not happy that the Prius is still a gasoline vehicle, it is a lesser carbon foot print so I can at least claim to be trying to do my part.
My problem is I don't want to just sell or junk the blazer, but I'm finding it very difficult to locate any information on how I could possibly (optimally) convert it to run on alternative fuels. If anyone can give me some suggestions on the 'greenest' thing to do with this I'd appreciate it. And also here's a great big hug and kudos to RR for Sundance and The Green. Your an inspiration Bob!
