Thank you, Jennifer, for your bold personal courage and artistry to give your voice and images for those of us who have made the positive choice to be women of independent means and embark on our life's journey fulfilled, though questioning at times, with or without partners and children. It really resonated with me and I am deeply moved. I, too, identified with my father's freedom to be in control and get out of the house. I made the decision to never have children when I was five, the oldest of what became a family of five children by a dramatically dying, hypochondriac mother who passed away at 41 when I was 14. Now I reflect back at almost 64 without regret. And I realize that in my single-minded quest for independence and freedom, I let some kind, generous and supportive men who would have made excellent lifetime partners get away. Instead, my serial monogamist pattern was to go for the men who were never boring, but who eventually became so after 5-7 years and then move on to the next one.
Keep up the great work. I'm can't wait for the next four episodes.

| Thank you so much for the post. I think about it now, how many partners I couldn't see because I was so afraid to be controlled. But I also think about how it is all right for women to be single and how we can have good lives, without or with a man (or woman).

| I just saw the first episodes and for the first time in my life I feel like I was seeing a film that directly exposed what I have been living. I am younger than Jennifer - now 34 - but I could totally relate to everything she was saying! It's strange because I always think of women her age as so much different than me but one of the many things the film did was make me change the way I see age. I guess we all have so much freedom these days, that the issues of what to do as women is hitting many of us the same.
