You know, at first, the idea of watching such a long series about one woman's life didn't sound all that interesting to me, but I've got to say, I was hooked somewhere during that first episode Monday night. My boyfriend, an uber-cynic, didn't think he'd make it through even an hour of woman-speak, but he not only made it through the first episode, but the second as well.. and he's looking forward to the rest!
We couldn't believe how open this woman was being! And to the entire world. We felt like we were being accepted into to this woman's life as best friends from the start. The kind of friends that you could have those intimate, vulnerable conversations with. What a gift! And you really get attached. I wonder what happens next, and at the same time, I'm hoping that everything works out for her!
Needless to say, we'll be glued to our set watching the rest. What did you all think of the way she used the camera? I think it really added something. Makes me feel like buying a camcorder and sitting around with some of my own friends. And what about Kai? I'm not sure I like him, to tell you the truth. But Patrick has already won my heart. The conversation that me and my boyfriend had about them after it was over was very reminiscent to the argument we usually get into over Sex and the City: Aidan or Big? Sure thing good guy, or the bad for you but can't get enough of guy?

| yep. coming from a young male perspective, the idea of “one man, one camera,” used by Jennifer Fox is inspiring and incredibly empowering. I love being reminded how enriching and liberating travel can really be. "Flying" is well worth the time.

| I agree with you casey. The series was a good way to learn more about women and their role in the modern world v. ours. Often times, women are difficult to interpret for men. Jen Fox rids that stereotype in this intimate confessional of her life covering her travels to visit girlfriends around the world. For an autobiographical doc, I have never seen any others cover so many important issues in one project. Good stuff.

| I have to give it up to Patrick - what a trooper. That's real dedication that he has stuck by her. I'm sure she will come to her senses and stick with Patrick, and get rid of Kai. Prove me right, Jen! Everybody wants to see Patrick win!
