Yes. On purpose!!! I spent every winter and summer as a child in Watersmeet. My Gramma & Grampa Anible (Floyd & Dorothy) used to own the gas station on HWY 2 & old 45. It was the only place in town to have a candy counter w/penny candy in big glass jars. They also owned a cabin on County Line Lake, great memories. My Great grampa Anible (Claude & Ethel-Great gramma also lived in Watersmeet. Beginning 1955 until All of their deaths. And are all buried there. I now live in Northern MN, wanted to be UP NORTH my entire life. I've been back 2 years in a row now and will make it a yearly tradition, we're only 4 hrs away. Having ben raised military, never having a home town. Watersmeet IS my Hometown. Dale Jenkins was one of my Grampa's best friends and George Peterson II bought the station from my Grampa. How can I send you some old pics of this? Love it!!! Cindy Jo Anible-VanHoecke

oh, how i remember your grandparents and great grandpa..i used to live next door to great grandpa. he used to make the best homemade rasin oatmeal cookies. he built my two brothers the county garage for all their tonka trucks. he was quite the man. i used to go to the cemetary every week with him to visit your great grandma. i often wonder what happened to his display of the town he built in his basement. you brought back some wonderful memories.. and your grandma and grandpa at the station..what happened to the days where you could get a whole bag of candy for a quater... thanks for the memories!!!

I am a Watersmeet Nimrod Alumni, Class of 1952, (10) of us and I remember each and every one -- Murphy, Jim, Frank, Edith, Jane, Florence, Fay, Lavon, Sandy, and me, Arlene. I am also the aunt of the stars of this absolutely wonderful show. I received a wonderfuleducation in school from memorable teachers, received an academic scholarship to Michigan State, I received by B.A. from the University of Texas and my Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary's School of Law in Austin Texas. I have had a wonderful career in Land Use Law and am currently the President of the Wagle River Watershed Council in Colorado. Watersmeet is still my "hometown" and for many years I would drive from Texas or Colorado, with all seven of our kids, to visit my Mom and Dad, Jim and Mollie Stark, and my sisters Nancy and Marion and all the cousins. I always made the High School reunions -- the last one I went to was in 1982, I believe. We are planning a visit this summer and look forward to seeing all the relatives and renewing old acquaintances again.
