Hello all,
We realize this is frustrating for you guys, but there are actually several different issues here, some of which are scheduled for a fix early next month. Unfortunately, some other issues are out of our control.
First, time zone switching does actually work. If you are set to EST, and you click the button that says "CST" on the schedule, you will be taken to your profile, where you can change the time zone. Now, the way this is presented right now is not ideal, and we are working on several ways of making this better. But it does work basically as currently designed, with one or two small technical issues that don't affect functionality. Bear in mind we recently redesigned our entire web site, so there are still going to be tweaks required here and there to the user experience, and this is one of them. This should be more intuitive by early next month.
However, there is another issue beyond that that some of you might be having, and that's which feed your local provider is using. Sundance Channel provides two feeds - one East, one West - and it is up to the cable or satellite operator which feed to use. The difference between these feeds is 3 hours, meaning the showtimes on the east and west coasts are the same, and CT and MT showtimes are offset. Our web site assumes that ET and CT use the east feed, while PT and MT use the west feed. The vast majority of the time, this is the case. So Central Time showtimes are 1 hour before Eastern Time, and Mountain Time showtimes are 1 hour after Pacific Time. We've also verified that this is working correctly on our web site.
Unfortunately, your provider may be using a different feed than the one we expect, for whatever reason. A provider in the Central Time zone using the west feed would have showtimes 2 hours off from what is in our online schedule. There is really no way for us to deal with that situation. The traditional networks get around this problem by utilizing affiliates, so they have many multiple local "feeds", not just two national ones. But all we can do is ensure that our schedule is correct for the vast majority of our viewers.
If you are having problems with time zones, please try after the fixes are in early next month. We'll post another update at that time.
