Next month, we'll premiere an all-new environmentally-themed programming block called THE GREEN both on-air and online. In the meantime, feel free to use this discussion board to talk about all things green and environmentally conscious, whether they directly relate to our programs or not. Anything from bamboo flooring to Al Gore's electric bill is fair game for discussion.

Be sure to watch our site at http://www.sundancechannel.com/thegreen for more info in the coming weeks.

I wrote about possible water contamination down in rio de la plata the one that runs between part of argentina and part of uruguay.A paper factory could be the poisoner.Besides this situation seems to have political connotations.Sundance channel could do something GREEN about it?

Recently, I discovered this online site and find that I am grateful and proud of all the creative forces involved with the development of the Sundance concept. I find it is intelligent, thought provoking and entertaining. I am especially impressed with the medium for it's progressive leadership towards educating the public that we are currently in the Enviromental Age. This site demonstrates and provides great opportunies and motivation for mind expansion towards EcoGreen conciousness.
I provide logoed promotional products manufactured from used jeans, recyled paper money, and organic fibers, such as shirts, pencils & pens, etc. A portion of the sales are donated to charity. Utilizing this practice in my business is a win win solution and answer to the question, "In what ways can I contribute to a healthy environment?"

I would greatly appreciate suggestions on conservation groups that could provide support to a small consortium in Florida, who are doing amazing work with HHO water (modified molecular structing of water), which allows it to burn - clean; to be stored for months without being contaminated; and for which they are being "urged" to sell all patents to the Federal Government. Of course, these discoveries are for the world, and I admit I don't have the knowledge of high powered support groups that could lend a hand. Ideas and suggestions are welcome. I would love to see this group of men change the world for the better - for all of us.

Hello All, I am wondering if anyone would be interested in discussing green agriculture? My husband and I have been working on a ten year plan to get the chemicals out of the gound and turn our ranch property into a sustainable, no better than that, grazing operation that gets the water and mineral cycles working again by using the livestock. We run multi-species (cattle, sheep, goats, horses). We COULD have almost 500 acres gravity flow sprinklers but yet we don't qualify for government help because we didn't have the funding to get it all going so even though we have the water and rights they declare us non-irrigated. We don't really want government money because our goals do not match. We have advertised and tried and tried to get investors but everyone just wants to make money in the short run and it doesn't seem to matter what is right for the earth in the long run. I just don't get it? Why is GREEN in except when it comes to Ag? There are so many celebrities and influencial people going GREEN, but why will no one help us in Ag that want to make a difference? The oil and gas people want to ruin us too and no one will help us so far. They told my husband and I "your place won't be worth anything when we get done". I was told by our broker today that GREEN is the new RED, WHITE, and BLUE. I am confused if that just means in terms of everyone talking but no-one really doing what it takes?

Sorry that I'm so late in joining the discussion, however, a small consortium in Sarasota, Florida is working with Hydro-Technologies, which preclude the need for chemicals in all growing scenarios. The Engineer & Chemist have developed a purification process (and the equipment to perform), which renders any water, better-than-pharmaceutical-grade, and plant growth studies show 30-40% increased growth, without chemicals. • transesterification WVO into biodiesel Posted on Aug 19 2007 at 6:45pm by ebayflash03
I have finally found a source for waste vegetable oil at a local Chinese resteraunt. A local supplier sells barrels of methanol for a little over $220 for a 54 gallon barrel. It shouldn't be hard to find the lye.

A recent episode of "It isn't easy being green" refers to tranesterification, "cooking" wast chip fat into diesel. but it did not go into the details. or at least if it did Tvo shut it off.

so here I am sitting on a hundred gallons or so of veggie oil
      3 old Mercedes diesel automobiles
      and a need for guidance
