| I have been reading the postings on the message board and appreciate Everyone's comments..good, bad, and ugly. I have dyslexia and am unable to write well without taking hours and electronic spell assistance. I am grateful for all the dialogue, opinions, and questions please do not attribute my lack of response to a lack of care about your input. Keep up the disscusions because that is what keeps us all encouraged, challenged, and growing.

Jay,
Don't worry about answering every posting. Just knowing that you are enjoying the discussions going on is enough for me, and I hope that you feel comfortable enough at some point to join in, if that is what you truly wish. Thanks for sharing your life with us, and know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Bright Blessings.

| Incredible show, even though the whole deal is simple it gave me a few reminders of what Jesus really is about. I hope that this does not end with the first season and we get to follow the progress of revolution church. I applaud your courage or lack of (common sense) to stand up for the real truth, and weather the consequences...

I just done watching the final episode and have to say that I was moved to tears. I am a 51 yr old pastor of a 100 year old traditional church. Many years ago I supported PTL and even worked there for a short time. I have been working with a bunch of young adults and trying to figure out how to reach them. I am making it my life work to pass on authentic Christianity to the next generation. This episode is a picture of where we are as Evangelical/Conservative Christians. We are at a crossroads. Are we going to accept the “Jay Bakkers” among us or criticize them. I think we need to support this generation all we can and love and mentor them but not take away who they are. I was so moved by Jim's short comments at Jay church service. When we peel away all the bologna that is in the church today, it really is about loving and caring for others. And Jay, I am proud of you also. You are doing an incredible work.
Our prayers are with you and your family.

Hey Jay,
You seem to be a searching man right now. I hope you will find peace soon. I'm sorry you've had such a struggling relationship with your pop . . . and I hope that will continue to evolve with love and good fulfillment for you both. I'm sorry you will soon experience the loss of your sweet mom. She spoke of loving all always.

Well, I am glad you posted this Jay it makes a difference with me, it's a good thing.
Well I have a communication problem issue with religious ministers much of the time because I am bipolar which means I have highs highs and low lows, I tend to blow things out of proportion and exagerate whenh I communicate.
I am also learning disabled. Preachers tend to be talking way over my head. I believe you that you are dyslexic because I seem to relate and be connected more when I listen to you which is good. Quite often I am so alienated from Christianity its hard to even feel like Im on the same planet with most of Christianity.
So its good that you are dyslexic, you won't have any problem with posting to me I understand you better then, well every other Christian preacher apparently sense your the only Christian preacher I am currently listening to.Hopefully the UU church wont kick me out HAHA.

Dear Jay,
I just sent this email to your mother. I am not sure the situation there as her Web site stops on December 16. I wanted you to know how much the series on HBO did for me. My God meet your needs - and grow your ministry!
Blessings,
Jeff

Dear Tammy Faye,
Not sure you will get this - I rarely write notes to folks I don't know. However, I just finished watching the last episode of One Punk Under God and am so moved by the story. I am 55 - and my wife and I watched the PTL Club from time to time. I had years of thinking you had gone over the edge and were too far out there, but this series set the record straight.
I am a believer who is very moved by your love and faith.
My daughter just moved to Brooklyn a year ago and lives about 4 minutes from Jay's church. I hope she checks it out. She is very involved in a church on Manhattan, but Jay and Amanda have so impressed me with their unqualified love of the LORD and others. I hope my daughter is able to experience their work in Brooklyn.
The bottom line is I am so glad the LORD drew me to this series. I have a deep respect for you now. You are indeed child of the LORD! I look forward to meeting you in heaven where we can celebrate the wonderful love of the LORD.
Blessings,
Jeff

Dear Jay,
I'm so sorry about the loss of your mom. I never realized what a treasure she was until I saw the two of you on your show. I was so moved by her sweetness that I rented a movie about her on Netflix. Perhaps if I had not been a Christian when she and your father were going through all of their trials, I wouldn't have judged them so harshly. Please forgive all of us who are/were such selfrighteous jerks.
Aloha from Kauai.

I loved your Mom as many did. You or she will never know how many lives she touched. In her last interview on Larry King she said her favorate Bible verse was Romans 8/28. Since I had not read my Bible for many years I looked it up and found that my Mom had highlighted it many years ago. I encourage all to look it up. She will be missed.
