Bravo, bravo to Sundance. I saw Play it as it lays at a film tribute to Frank Perry three years ago. One of the best movies I have ever seen and will never forget. At the movie's end, the audience was shocked and overwhelmed in silence (no kidding) I was saddened to hear not on video/dvd. Sundance has the good sense to keep this on their schedule, so thank you!!!!!! I heard that it was not accepted well when it was released. The story (as well as the performances) probably too brutal, too much too soon in 1970s? Why do we accept Robert De Niro doing Taxi Driver but we can't accept the same talent from Tuesday Weld? And incredible performances from Tammy Grimes and Anthony Perkins. This movie needs to be seen, thanks again.
