Ozwald needs to delegate more authority to his lieutenants; he cant possibly micromanage every aspect of the normal daily business and still burn the creative flame that constitutes his primary asset. Let someone else makes those phone calls, let someone else look for properties, let someone else handle the day to day business and report in via internet on a regularly established interval. If you try to wear all your hats at once its just not going to come out right. Hire the best people you can and let them do their job.

That's hard to do when it's your baby. It's hard to let anyone handle the more intricate parts of the business when there is no loyalty.

Think about it...Giuseppe quit at the height of the selling season! That's some b.s.! He was relying on him to get those crucial orders immediately following the show, and instead he's in his office telling him he's found another job. Why didn't he just ask for a raise or at least negotiate with him to understand his value to the company? With people like that in your circle, micromanagement is not so bad...

I dont see Giuseppes leaving as disloyalty. I think that he is merely taking advantage of a better business opportunity. The fact that he still remains in the employment of OZB for the time being instead of leaving immediately is evidence of this. Certainly Giuseppes departure is an untimely loss for Boateng and will put an additional strain on the business and crew but it is not an obstacle that can not be overcome.

But Boateng is already complaining about Giuseppe's departure! He feels (now) that right as he was ready to delegate, his right-hand leaves him. So he feels he has to micromanage. I don't remember him wanting be all over the place because he really wants to make it happen in the states. Can't do that if every time you get home, someone's found a better opportunity. Sometimes, the ground floor (if you can call it that seeming it's been 20 years) is the best opportunity.

Personnaly, I think the guy is a jerk, and that's me being subdued. I have never understood this classist mentality of being the end all in any thing you do. The bottom line is Oswald will grow old, die,and be forgotten, so why not try to spread a little joy in life in the pursuits of ones goals? The workers he delas with all look terrified when spaeking with him. A regular "Devil Wears Prada"!

Watching him pissing off about lighting in one of his shops was ridiculous to watch! he'll be luck y to keep one shop open in the U.S. He'd probably get 'Bitch Slapped" acting the way he does.

      Just my opinion

I will admit that Ozwalds management style is a bit draconian, but I do not follow your drift on his pursuit of perfection being a class thing. One should always strive for perfection in everything one does. Also, in Ozwalds defense you can not underestimate the importance of lighting. People do not actually see the objects and the world around them, what they actually see is the way that light is reflected off of those objects. A minor change or variation in the type or temperature of light can have a tremendous difference in how people perceive and react to their surroundings and the objects they view. These minor variations can have a huge impact on sales and I think that is why OZB is so concerned about it, not because he is being a dick.

BTW, I think the devil wears bespoke John Lobb, Prada is much to flashy, too trendy and not that well made.

        Cheers

Hey all u fashionistas! Sorry to interrupt your earlier discussion, but you seem to know a thing or two about high fashion. Does anyone know what type of watch Ozwald is always wearing on the show and where they can be found? Very stylish for dress up or casual

I noticed that watch too and thought it was cool. The blue and red one right? Hopefully someone can help us out!

The watch I'm talking about is featurd in the photo gallery for episode 7 (go to the House of Boateng section of this site). Is that the one you were talking about devcasual?

Yeah, blue and red with the brown leather band. I've also seen him wearing a darker colored one on the show, same type of watch. I like the colors and the width of the band. i'd like to know the brand that produces these watches. Serious accessory, probably costs a pretty penny
