These chicks kick ass. Posted on May 5 2006 at 10:29am by I don't understand why the 'ladettes' are even doing this. It seems like they are only trying to be something that they are not. Not everyone in the world has to be all prim and proper. Some people have flaws and it's those flaws that make them interesting. I like girls who can act as if they're one of the guys. These chicks are awesome and they shouldn't have to change.

Except for the engineer, they all pretty much have nowhere to go but down the sewer in a drunken haze. They may kick ass, but they need a softer, prettier side that these militant-like teachers are trying to scare into them!

Learning to be a lady is nice, but those dragon women, (excluding Rosemary) are evil. I just viewed this show for the first time last night and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It's a throw back to the 19th century. The women in charge know these girls have problems with drinking, one in particular, yet they put them in situations disigned to trip them up. why don't they eliminate alcohal completely? What are they trying to accomplish by setting them up with these men who have no intention of considering these girls as marriage material, even if they were more polished. It was like the ladies in charge were pimping these girls. And when it came time to eleminate one they chose to eliminate the girl that had some sense of self dignity, like having a sense of self worth is a bad thing. They are not doing anything for the benefit of these girls beyond crushing their self esteem. I think the show should be cancelled and the dragon ladies should retire to whatever cave they crawled out of. This is the 21st century. Girls need to know how to work and survive with men as equals. Let the men learn how to make pastries and dresses. RE: These chicks kick ass. Posted on Apr 23 2007 at 10:20am by I agree that some (Victoria, in particular) seemed to need help with her drinking. The girls realize that and want to do something about it. The teachers/dragon ladies aren't responsible for putting them through rehab, only to let them know that when they reach their limit, they need to stop drinking. Speaking of the real world, these girls will be in situations where they need to know when they have drunk enough and stop. Yes, they need skills to compete w/ men, but everyone, men and women need to know social skills.
These teachers are only improving the world! I say, they rock!

It's not that they will always be on the straigt and narrow, but they don't even know how to be anything but bawdy, loud, crude women. And, once you aquire the skills to be elegant and polished, you realize how disgusting you were when you let it all hang out.
