Patience faithful viewers, patience.
Comprised of five episodes, Season Two of "City of Men " will air on Tuesdays at 9:00pm e/p from July 11th through August 8th.
Here's alittle sneak preview of how the episodes break down...
The episode lineup for Season 2 of "City of Men " is as follows:
"Saturday" (premieres Tuesday, July 11th at 9:00pm)
Saturday means cutting loose, and Laranjinha (Darlin Cunha) and Acerola (Douglas Silva) bring great expectations to an all-night funk party and dance contest featuring the favela's hottest D.J. and sexiest dancers. Sporting an eye-catching new hairstyle, Laranjinha aims to surpass his personal record for make-out sessions and has his eye on four particular beauties. Acerola is performing with his funk dance group, in hopes that his stage moves will earn him points with a quiet schoolgirl named Cristiane (Camila Monteiro).
"Two Tickets to Brasilia " (premieres Tuesday, July 18th at 9:00pm)
With loaned camcorder in tow, Acerola and Laranjinha make the long bus journey from Rio to the capitol city of Brasilia, bearing a letter for Brazil 's up-from-poverty president. The story behind their pilgrimage involves Acerola's latest crush, her imprisoned grandfather, and the diverging paths of two childhood friends.
"It's Gotta Be Now" (premieres Tuesday, July 25th at 9:00pm)
Laranjinha persuades an exhausted Acerola to help him deliver some surfboards to the beach, where the beautiful weather has drawn virtually all of Rio, young and old, rich and poor. It's a perfect day for sunning, surfing and especially flirting, as skin and swimsuits make it hard to tell rich from poor. But there's a rumor of trouble in the air - and when the rumor becomes fact, the day gains a heady sense of urgency for every teenager on the beach.
"The Ordinaries" (premieres Tuesday, August 1 st at 9:00pm)
Worlds collide one day when Acerola unwittingly saves a rich Japanese kid from drowning at the beach. Common ground is soon discovered, and the result is an unlikely posse of friends, three from the favela and three from wealthy and middle-class homes. By the end of the summer, they have a name: "The Ordinaries."
"Hot Spot" (premieres Tuesday, August 8th at 9:00pm)
Laranjinha's cousin Espeto (Phelipe Haagensen) is a management-level drug dealer who cuts a swaggering figure in the community. That is, until a brush with death prompts him to reconsider his criminal career. But quitting the drug trade is no easy matter, and Espeto is going to need help from Acerola and Laranjinha if he's to make it out alive.
Enjoy!
