We know our viewers are an opinionated lot. Got something to say about your favorite (or least favorite) politicians? Obsessing about a particular issue? We're no strangers to controversy - the livelier the debate, the better. (Standard rules of civility do still apply...)

      Hi,

I wish that the political parties would look at the "whole" picture to do what is right for "all" rather than what is right for the "party". The partisian part of politics is childish and selfish. It shows a lack of character and integrity. I wonder if most of America is losing the ability to judge such moral flaws. I wonder if some people have lost critical thinking and reasoning skills fearing that they are being judgemental.

The gossips on television masquerading as journalists are some of the worst examples of professionalism in my opinion. They have turned news into sensationalism and gossip. They are boring and used up. Professional behavior and unbiased coverage would be something new. It would be virginal in our day and time.

I will give one recent example . Last night a channel that caters to women aired a special about the investigation surrounding Jon Benet Ramsey. It was an excellent documentary. A very successful retired detective had been brought in to help the local detectives solve the murder of the child. For the first time in his career he discussed the findings of his investigation with the public. I believed his point of view. Politics had interupted his investigation. The Ramsey's had been smeared. I don't have time to give the details here. On that show an old clip of Geraldo was shown. He had put together a mock trial against the parents on one of his shows. It would serve him right if he was sued. He made a lot of ratings and money by kicking a suffering family when they were down. Several other old news clips were aired in which so called journalists were giving their opinions. All of them looked very cheap. That's our culture and the news media looks very bad. I don't think that most of them know the definition for a lady or a gentleman. I don't think that they know what a person of character looks or acts like.

There is a universal law that paints the differences between right and wrong. People have ignored it too long. It convicts all of us when we ignore it. Psalm 1 only hints at the blindness in our society. I guess that I am definitely being controversial now because I have mentioned a selection from an ancient text. A word is used in that Psalm. The word is "mocker" Who are the mockers in our society? I'm tired of them and their disrespect for omnipotence. They could be tried on their disrespect for decency and humanity alone. Technically they could be tried on that alone for those who are squemish about omnipotence. Still omnipotence when correctly grasped teaches respect and altruistic love for others. It is the fullest expression of agape love for humanity.

Who are those loud mouthed mockers?

    • Why does being 'green' require us to turn our backs on wildlife? Posted on Jun 6 2007 at 9:09am by donatracy
My issue concerns being green but not liking what is going on in the wind industry. Why do we need to turn our backs on birds and bats in order to have sustainable energy? Surely a place like the USA who has sent man into space can figure out how to have both.

I have just written an article on my blog at http://www.donatracy.gather.com on a bill now before congress that is asking for the wind industry to adhere to laws like the ESA and others that protect our wildlife. The wind industry sees this bill as anti-wind but it isn't. It is just looking toward a future that sees hazards and is attempting to prevent them.

There are so many incentives in all 50 states to allow you to get solar electricity for FREE! Many states allow you to take 100% of the total SOLAR system cost as a property tax exemption. Yes, you pay NO property tax. California gives you a one time cash payback of 50% of the SOLAR system total cost. There are so many incentives you can get these systems for FREE! All these incentive are on the DSIRE web site or email me and i will forward them to you. WE need to get the word out! Most people do not know these incentives are out there. Email wbonney@cox.net or call 866-434-1466 If we work together we can make a differance thanks, Bill
