Great show. Always wondered why it never took off the US as it did in Oz and the UK. Saw an article in Melbourne's "Age" that there might be a US version coming out. Don't see how it could be as good.
Maybe it didn't take off here as well because we Americans have trouble with the Aussie accents, but I always think of the Australian accent as a cross between a Boston accent and Texas accent. No prob's, no worries, then. Only Texans and Aussies can put three or more syllables into a two letter word like "me."
Saw some other posts asking if people in Aus are really like K & K. Duh. No more than any silly American sitcoms represent the real American people. K & K's are everywhere in the US. Go to a mall. My brother-in-law is a dead ringer for Kel, even to the hair. Not as fit though.
Absolutely brilliant show. Next time we get to Melbourne I want our friends to take us to IKEA, the Golden Mile and the mall. I think we've missed the best parts of Melbourne in our previous visits.
