I watch a lot of theatre. I've been in Hamlet and Macbeth. Slings and Arrows is a superlative series. Canada's creativity reflects its cultural maturity. In film school at USC, a hero was Robert Flaherty and the Film Board of Canada, who were extensively studied. I have been remiss in missing his modern heirs. My kudos to Paul Gross and Company for a stimulating romp that does Shakespeare full justice in the 21st century. Bravo!

| If Roose's address (1934) reflects the year of his birth, we are contemporaries. I can only echo his praises of the show -- and of THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, just-nominated Broadway musical, written by and featuring the same Bob Martin who wrote SLINGS & ARROWS.

| Agree with posters, and sorely miss watching new episodes. What a wonderful series. I've read that they plan on one more season of 6, and that they're "doing" King Lear. Can't wait. Anyone know if there will be DVD's available anytime?

badlandsbooks.com (a company owned and operated by Paul Gross' father and mom) is offering pre-sale autographed copies of series one. Bob Gross says they will be read to ship June 22nd.
Can't wait! Slings and Arrows is one of the best series I've ever watched. Which is right up to par with what one would expect from Paul Gross.

| Not your contemporary, but in agreement on all counts. Found Slings & Arrows becasue of DROWSY. Saw Drowsy twice - was there opening night - and read about S&A in Bob Martin's bio. Don McKellar (plays Darren Nichols in S&A) wrote Drowsy book with Martin; Lisa Lambert, Tony for Music/Drowsy, composed title & end songs for Slings with Martin. She also plays the "dresser" in first season. In the Drowsy Playbill(from 10/8/06 show), her bio lists with her credits " Upcoming: season three of Slings & Arrows on the Sundance Channel. Here's hoping!

| How many seasons have been made? |

| From an earlier post I deduce 5, with a sixth on the way--is that right? If so, it's frustrating that this great show is taking so long to air in the US and to go to DVD.

| The third "season" of 6 eps begins in Canada on July 24; I haven't heard anything out of Sundance as to how long we have to wait to see it in the US. The creative team, Bob Martin, Mark McKinney and Susan Coyne, always said there would only be the three seasons. BUT there was something in a Toronto paper this week that implied Bob Martin might be revising his views on that, suggesting that a 4th season would revolve around a production that went to Broadway. Given his recent experiences with Drowsy, that would only make sense and there'd be so much fodder for another show, it could probably go on indefinitely! I love this series with a purple passion and cannot get enough of it.
