BIO

At the age of 29 years old, Newark New Jersey native Dashaun Jiwe Morris has lived a life that most twice his age couldn't identify with. As told in Jiwe's best selling, award winning Memoir "War Of The Bloods In My Veins", while most third and fourth grade boys were enjoying little league and summer camp, a nine year old Jiwe's reality was bearing the hardship of being sent to live with relatives, being introduced to gang banging and conforming to a new environment in Phoenix, Arizona much different from that of "Brick City", NJ. At the impressionable age of eleven, Jiwe was "put on" and became an active member of the Bloods. At this age he would also experience the lost of his closest comrade whom was also eleven years old at the time of being gunned down .

With a few stops in between, Jiwe and his family eventually returned to their native New Jersey where he would also bring along his new lifestyle. With Jiwe, what you see is surely not all you get. To his advantage along with street smarts that would breed a "Non Traditional" Leader of hundreds, he was always consistently challenging his brain expanding his mind. But it was High School where Jiwe's right arm would have recruiters in a frenzy! As the starting quarterback for Orange High School from 1996 to 1999, by senior year Jiwe was named First Team All Area as well as First Team All County. He switched his position to wide receiver during the East vs West High School All Star Game. Jiwe was recruited by Syracuse, Rutgers, Penn State and Hofstra, ultimately choosing Delaware State University.

In 2002, he was named (to 1st team Black College All American), AP first team All American, Sports Network 1st team All American and was the #1 kick returner in the entire country. In 2004, Jiwe participated in the East vs West college all star game in Las Vegas.

Though a career in professional football seemed destined, an attempted murder charge and prison time would throw salt in the game. However, instead of sitting in a cell throwing a daily pity party, Jiwe put pen to paper reflecting on his life up until that crucial point and turned tragedy to triumph, proving "Pain Is Profit.” After the successful release of War of The Bloods in My Veins, Jiwe has taken his leadership ability and life experience to not only improve his own life but the lives of others by traveling around the country speaking to youth as well as parents.
