Nanosolar INC. Creates Solar Plant in San Jose

Recent studies show that most Americans believe solar power [www.sundancechannel.com] has the greatest likelihood of allowing America to be independent of foreign energy sources. This is interesting since solar power [www.sundancechannel.com] currently provides less than one percent of all the alternative power in the country. There must be something enticing about the idea of getting power from the sun, or Americans have gotten too many sun tans, because solar power [www.sundancechannel.com] suffers from the major problem of being too expensive to replace fossil fuels. If the cost of producing solar panels were not so high, then this energy source would be the most efficient way of producing electricity.

This miracle of innovation in solar energy may have happened. Everything has changed with the completion of a new solar factory in San Jose, CA. A company called Nanosolar, whose seed money was provided from the google.com founders, has created a new technology that has made solar power [www.sundancechannel.com] many times less expensive than it was before. Incidentally, the Google founders also started the non-profit company, google.org. This non-profit has supported many projects and is currently pushing a RechargeIt.org campaign [google.org]. This campaign tries to accelerate the adoption of plug in hybrid cars.

The invention that gave life to Nanosolar is exactly what the title implies, microscopic solar cells that can be painted on metallic sheets as thin as paper. The resulting product, or PowerSheets, as Nanosolar calls them, are like large flexible sheets of durable metal. They are incredibly cheap to produce; in fact, they cost 30 cents per watt to produce. Coal plants were the most efficient and cheap way of creating electricity before this, which cost $1 per watt to produce. This price reduction in solar power [www.sundancechannel.com] is revolutionary. The new factory has the capacity to create 430 megawatts worth of PowerSheets in the first year. The technology is based on printing technology, which makes this the best way of creating electricity ever invented. My friend Dave is working with a company that will give you the solar equipment for free and then you get your power from that. You still pay an electric bill, just the source of the power is green. We are coming out with a personal windmill system for individual homes. The idea is that it is under $5k so you should be able to finance up to 3 yrs which comes to about $180/month. Most electric bills in houses cost more than that so the idea is to have it produce enough that you pay nothing and if it makes more than you get a check. But after 3 yrs your energy is free. You can check www.TryCleanAir.Org periodically and see if any info pops up about it. You can go to www.TryFreshAir.com/nhmoldinspector as well. Our Air systems are promoting green houses because you can't have poisons like glade plugins in your house with our air purifier or it will create more chemicals. They have no place in your house anyway. So we get people to switch to Eco H so there is no issues with the units. It is an enzyme based eco-friendly cleaner that replaces all other cleaning supplies. Our company is all Healthier living technologies.

That's cool. But another thing to check out is ArmorLite Roofing Technology. When it comes to green innovations, it is difficult to top what ArmorLite has done. Nothing has been more un-green and un-environmentally-friendly than the archaic roofing industry, which has used unsafe, landfill-cluttering, energy-inefficient products like asphalt, metal, wood, clay, and concrete for 100 years. But ArmorLite has changed all that forever by developing the most environmentally-sustainable green roofing material ever. For 50 years, scientists and engineers tried to solve the problems of roofing industry and no one succeeded -- until ArmorLite. I have seen the material and it's truly remarkable. It's 100% recyclable, has 0% waste in manufacturing, it dramatically reduces energy costs because it reflects heat back into the atmosphere, it won't break or deteriorate, and it is immune to rotting and mold. My roofing contractor told me this is the future of the industry. He also said it is the first and last roof anyone will ever need, that it will last a few generations. It is made with a unique polymer and I'm just blown away by it. It comes in 2 foot x 4 foot interlocking panels -- and it is comparably priced with other speciality roofing products. What's so cool about it too is that it weighs eight times lighter than all other materials. This is highly significant because the average home has 30,000 pounds of roofing on it while ArmorLite is just 3,500 pounds. I'd rather have 3,500 pounds over my family's head any day than 30,000. It's much safer and better for the structure and foundation too. And if you think it's a problem having a lightweight material on your roof, think again. ArmorLite is so tough and durable that you can take a hammer to it and it won't dent or crack. Take a hammer to any other roofing product and it will shatter. This demonstration was actually done on Fox Good Day LA, which is how I heard about ArmorLite. To see the clip, go to http://www.myfoxla.com/myfox/pages/Home/Detail;jsessionid=BB1E05D0F890721E17CB4F2F98484F06?contentId=4335130&version=1&locale=EN-US&layoutCode=VSTY&pageId=1.1.1&sflg=1. Pretty cool, huh. I'm lucky I got my order in as soon as I did. The company is flooded with orders, so if you want the greenest, most environmentally friendly roof out there, you'd better jump on it now. The guys over there are really cool too. I dealt with Sales Manager Trevor Leeds and Sales rep Joseph Sciarra. Their web site is www.ArmorLiteRoofing.com. What's also great about it is the energy savings. We'll be saving thousands of dollars over time in energy costs and not having to get a second or third roof. Rob Weiss Irvine, Calif.
