Sundance Channel announced today the greenlight of a new original non-fiction series “Dream School.” Multi-platinum award-winning musician and entrepreneur Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson will executive produce under his G-Unit Films and Television banner and appear in the show. The series format was created by Jamie Oliver who will also executive produce under his Fresh One shingle. The announcement was made today by Sarah Barnett, Sundance Channel President. The series is slated to premiere in fall 2013.

NETWORK BOLSTERS SCRIPTED PROGRAMMING TEAM AND HIRES FIRST LA-BASED DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE

In advance of its upcoming premieres of originals RECTIFY and TOP OF THE LAKE, Sundance Channel announced today the greenlight of new series THE DESCENDANTS and the expansion of its scripted programming team. The network’s second wholly owned original scripted series is picked up for six one-hour episodes and hails from acclaimed writer Aaron Guzikowski (CONTRABAND, PRISONERS) and veteran producer Sarah Condon (BORED TO DEATH).
